Dacke has completed an acquisition in Italy, which also invests in the industrial mobile applications sector. Dacke Industri is owned by Nordstjernan, a Swedish investment house controlled by two foundations. Dacke Industri follows a decentralized model where our companies have a high degree of autonomy and are run independently.

Dacke Industri acquired Hydronit

On November 18th, 2025, Dacke Industri further strengthened its European presence by acquiring 70% of the shares in Hydronit S.r.l., an Italian company with a strong position in the market for modular hydraulic power units for mobile, industrial, and marine applications. The current owner will continue to hold the remaining shares.

The acquisition of Italian company Hydronit S.r.l. marks a strategic step in strengthening the European presence and expanding the Dacke portfolio of power transmissions, motion, and control solutionsHydronit S.r.l. will join the Fluid Power Technology division, where it will contribute to the group’s combined knowledge and collaborative efforts. 

Hydronit S.r.l., develops and manufactures modular hydraulic power units for mobile, industrial, and marine applications, including patented Smart Power Units with an embedded Programmable Logic Controller, sensors, PWM power output and IoT capabilities. They support their customers throughout the entire development process – from design and development to the production of key hydraulic components. The company is headquartered in Varedo, about 20 km north of Milan, Italy. It has subsidiaries in Suzhou, China, Malmesbury, Wiltshire, UK, and an associated company on the East Coast of the United States. Hydronit S.r.l. employs approximately 30 people and has an annual turnover of about EUR 9 million.
