Agritechnica and AgriSima: the two sides of the coin
Agritechnica 2025 succeed, AgriSIMA 2026 has been postponed indefinitely
The 2025 edition of Agritechnica concluded with 476,000 visitors from 171 countries and 2,849 exhibitors from 52 countries. While slightly below the organizers’ expectations, the event set new records compared to the 2023 edition, which had just over 470,000 visitors.
Agritechnica is thriving; AgriSIMA 2026 has been cancelled
These excellent figures were driven by this edition’s guiding theme: “Touch Smart Efficiency,” which led to the presentation of cutting-edge technologies for sustainable progress in the global agricultural sector. The “7 Days – 7 Topics” visitor format was also a great success, offering further guidance for the investment decisions and technical information needs of visitors and exhibitors.
For its part, the new Digital Farm Center provided practical know-how on digitalization, automation, artificial intelligence, and robotics, demonstrating efficient integration into agricultural processes. In parallel, Systems & Components took place, the leading trade fair for the agricultural machinery supplier industry and the off-highway sector.
Over 300 specialist events, insights, and industry meetings further underlined Agritechnica’s role as the sector’s leading technical authority. The visit by the German Federal Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Regional Identity, Alois Rainer, along with numerous international delegations, highlighted the strong political and agricultural interest.
And what about AgriSIMA? At the opposite side of Agritechnica, in the hierarchy of the European agricultural trade exhibitions, the first edition of AgriSIMA, the new French agricultural machinery exhibition, has been postponed indefinitely. Perhaps until 2027, perhaps 2028: the only thing certain (besides the total uncertainty surrounding the French event) is that it will no longer be held in its original window, which was from Sunday 22 to Wednesday 25 February 2026.

After the turbulence that hit the historic SIMA exhibition, following the unenthusiastic attendance of the post-covid edition in November 2022 – which suffered from the overlap with EIMA International – the organizers had already been forced to cancel the 2024 appointment. From here, the choice at the end of the same year was to organize a new exhibition, refreshing it starting with the name: AgriSIMA. And trying to actively involve as many stakeholders as possible.
