Yuchai has found the right partner to spearhead its expansion in the power generation sector: its name is BYM, and the company is equipped for distribution, co-design with OEMs, and after-sales support across its area of competence, which includes Italy and the Iberian Peninsula.

In 2017, the Chinese engine giant established an R&D facility at its European regional headquarters near Frankfurt. The parent company is set to exhibit at the imminent Agritechnica event. The collaboration with BYM unlocks the doors to a vibrant business ecosystem, particularly among generator set manufacturers in Italy, France, and Spain, leveraging widely established synergies.

BYM and the Yuchai “generation”

Our focus is to bring quality and service to the forefront, building strong relationships with customers and strengthening Yuchai’s presence in Southern Europe,” says the General Manager Rinaldo Marengo.

BYM’s Focus on Power Generation BYM is the official distributor for Yuchai engines in the specified geographical area starting from the fourth quarter of 2025. But BYM offers more than just distribution. In the company’s view—which is based in Ciriè, near Turin—the project’s strength lies in its service: a qualified support network, readily available genuine spare parts, high-level technical support, and dedicated training programs.

Yuchai Power. The Power of Yuchai

Founded in 1951 and present in over 180 countries, Yuchai is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of diesel and gas engines. With a complete range for power generation from 20 kVA (YC4V) up to 4500 kVA (YC16VTF) for Data Center applications, Yuchai offers reliable and competitive solution for energy backup and large-scale industrial applications.

At the Madrid Tech Show

BYM will be fully operational starting from January 1, 2026, although its official launch before a professional audience is happening today and tomorrow at the Tech Show Madrid, hosted at the Yuchai Marine stand. The Spanish event is one of the continental benchmarks for big data, artificial intelligence, and data centers.
