H2 Powercell, which is located in Emsdetten not far from Münster City and is managed by Sebastian Niehoff and Simon Kersten, specializes in solutions for hydrogen storage and supply.

H2 Powercell offers its developments to hydrogen filling stations and producers of renewable resources, among others. In terms of sales, municipalities or municipal grid operators, industrial parks and hydrogen quarters are also addressed, as well as local micro grids, hotels or business customers who have installed solar modules and wind power.

The H2 Powercell containerized solutions

The hydrogen-based systems “Made in Germany” of the high-tech manufacturer from North Rhine- Westphalia are used for combined heat and power, the uninterruptible, resilient emergency power supply of critical infrastructures and – in the context of “capacity market” – for grid-serving or grid- balancing operation. The containerized “H2PowerCube” and the “H2SecurePower” cabinet system have established themselves as premium products in the CO2-neutral quality portfolio of the internationally active H2 expert, in which the company’s own “Energy Management System” and the electrolyser “H2Powerlyzer” form the technical cores.

BEN-Tec

H2 Powercell’s energy market expertise goes back more than a quarter of a century and is based on the knowledge of the energy industry strategist BEN-Tec, from which H2 Powercell was founded. BEN-Tec in Emsdetten, under the direction of Sebastian Niehoff, stands for economic feasibility analysis and consulting for off-grid, decentralized electricity-heat applications as well as for expertise in renewable energy systems.

As a service provider, BEN-Tec acts as the first point of contact for the exploration and concept development of storage and grid usage options as well as for the identification and examination of public subsidies. As part of the initiation and planning service, financial cost-usage ratios are defined according to the customer’s requirements, such as how to deal with solar surplus. In addition to support in approval procedures, the know-how for the implementation and adaptation of operational processes is available.

And Hydro-Generation

As the third part of the energy transition group, “Hydro-Generation” from Rheine has made its mark as an industry professional in hydrogen project management since 2021. Hydro-Generation, under the direction of Simon Kersten, Sebastian Niehoff and Rüdiger Schuma, acts as general contractor for order placements in the field of stationary climate-positive energy storage and supply through alternative sources such as sun, wind and water.

The aim is to implement turnkey and ready-to-use systems in accordance with the orders. Hydro-Generation is responsible for the coordination of all suppliers, cooperation partners and stakeholders – for example, for the completion of filling stations for H2 mobility in the transport sector.
