To grasp the relationship between HysetCo and hydrogen, consider these key figures from 2023: 200 tons of hydrogen distributed, 80,000 fill-ups completed, 8 stations in the Paris region and 20,000,000 kilometers already covered without emissions. And now, a new station at the Paris-Orly Airport site.

HysetCo at Orly for 500 vehicles per day

Located in close proximity to major transportation flows — taxis, professional vehicles, travelers — the station is a key refueling point for high-usage needs. With a new distribution capacity of 1 ton per day, it can now fuel more than 500 vehicles daily.

This new station replaces the first hydrogen station in the Paris region, originally settled at the airport in 2017. As airport access roads account for up to 30% of non-flight-related carbon emissions, this initiative illustrates a strong commitment to cleaner and more efficient mobility solutions.

This project is supported by the French government, the European Union through the CEF Transport program, and the Île-de-France Region, key public partners.

Some comments on the infrastructure serving the area

Laurence Faure, Director of Paris-Orly Airport, Groupe ADP“: The inauguration of this hydrogen station within the airport provides easier access to clean, renewable energy, reinforcing our shared commitment to decarbonized mobility — for the benefit of airport users and local residents alike. Paris-Orly, which will be carbon-neutral for internal emissions by 2025, is on track for net-zero ground emissions by 2030 — a vision we share with committed partners like HysetCo. Together, we are advancing a sustainable approach where progress goes hand in hand with responsibility, firmly believing that every action counts.”

Loïc Voisin, President of HysetCo: “Multiplying our hydrogen distribution capacity at Orly by six is a major milestone in our mission to offer a zero-emission mobility solution that is comprehensive, consistent, and accessible to all. Today, HysetCo operates 800 hydrogen vehicles, the world’s largest hydrogen fleet and we plan to multiply this figure by five within the next five years, particularly in the fast-growing segment of light commercial vehicles.

Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Region: “The opening of the Orly hydrogen refueling station, the 14th facility financed by the Region, marks a new milestone in building a network across the territory, essential for the growth of clean mobility. It complements the Region’s major investments in this area : 100% decarbonized public transport by 2025, the creation of the Vélo Île-de-France cycling network, and since 2020, support for the installation of 5,000 electric charging points by local municipalities. Île-de-France is a strategic region for the deployment of green and low-carbon hydrogen, particularly because hydrogen can play a key role in the production of sustainable aviation fuels.”
