The Tata name appears once again alongside FPT, this time in tandem with Daewoo. A well-established partnership that continues to reinvent itself. The two companies are strengthening their shared journey with the renewal of their partnership for an additional five years. The agreement reaffirms the mutual trust and the value of a long-standing partnership that continues to deliver concrete results in the market.

FPT Continues to Provide NEF and Cursor Engines to TATA Daewoo

Under the new contract, FPT will continue supplying NEF and Cursor series engines, ranging from 4 to 13 liters, to power the Dexen, Kuxen, and Maxen models which have achieved significant commercial success thanks to their reliability and performance. All engines supplied comply with Euro VI regulations and meet the strictest emission standards, contributing to efficient and sustainable transport solutions in South Korea. As of July 2024, in addition to UNECE Regulation No. 155, FPT engines are also fully compliant with the latest cybersecurity standards, including ISO 21434, ensuring robust protection against unauthorized access and external attacks.


This agreement marks a new chapter in an enduring partnership between the two companies that has thrived for over twenty years, as evidenced by the 90,000+ engines delivered. Throughout this journey, FPT and TDM have combined their expertise to develop advanced powertrain solutions, driven by a shared commitment to sustainability and reductions in CO₂ emissions, an area in which FPT has long been a pioneer within the on-road segment. Today, the two companies continue to move forward together, fostering innovation with cutting-edge technologies and a forward-looking approach.

R&D in Gunsan

FPT´s R&D Center in Gunsan, specifically established to strengthen the engineering collaboration and on-site technological presence of FPT, will continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the mutual cooperation between the two companies. The facility serves as a strategic hub for the co-development of next-generation technologies, combining FPT´s local engineering capabilities with the global expertise of its innovation teams, effectively placing FPT´s know-how at the service of Tata Daewoo Mobility.
