At Conexpo, special attention is being paid to closed-loop hydraulic drives. These are integrated systems that include axial piston hydraulic motors and planetary gearboxes within complete drives designed for a wide range of equipment: from compact track loaders to road construction machines, aggregate processing and surface mining to material handling.

For the industrial sector, Bonfiglioli showcases drives developed for aggregate processing, material handling, and asphalt production. Special focus is placed on twin-shaft mixers based on Bonfiglioli’s planetary technology, designed for asphalt and aggregate batching plants in harsh environments.

For twin-shaft mixers used in cement and bitumen production for the building and road construction sectors, Bonfiglioli has developed an ad hoc solution—an evolution of the 300 Series modular planetary gearboxes. The system combines the versatility and modularity of the planetary gearbox with the mechanical synchronization of the two mixer shafts, ensuring reliable and long-lasting performance.

The solution simplifies the machine structure by eliminating belts and pulleys. This streamlines installation and reduces maintenance requirements. According to Bonfiglioli, the result is an application-focused drive that helps optimize the overall machine design, lowering the TCO without compromising performance.
