What to expect at the Hyundai Engine stand during CONEXPO 2026
Hyundai Engine to unveil full industrial engine lineup at CONEXPO 2026, incluing the new 1.1L and 22L engines
HD Construction Equipment’s Engine Division is going to unveil its full industrial engine lineup at CONEXPO 2026. Some news will be on display, including the first debut of its 1.1-liter ultra-compact engine and a 22-liter large engine. Hyundai has been awarded as Diesel of the Year for the DX05 and DX08 engines.
At CONEXPO Hyundai Engine will unveil the new 1.1L and the 22L engines
At the exhibition, HD Construction Equipment will operate a dedicated Hyundai Engine booth, showcasing an expanded lineup of industrial engines alongside electrification solutions such as battery packs and hydrogen engines, reflecting its strengthened focus on future-oriented, eco-friendly power systems.

The newly introduced DA11 compact engine features a 1.1-liter displacement, 3-cylinder inline configuration, and an advanced low-pressure common rail system. The engine delivers a maximum output of 18.4 kW, offering improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions through optimized combustion technology that enables precise and rapid fuel injection.
The exhibition will also mark the debut of the DX22 large engine, a 22-liter V-type engine delivering a maximum output of 700 kW. The DX22 is scheduled to be installed in 100- to 150-ton class large mining excavators and has been developed to meet the demanding requirements for durability and reliability in heavy-duty applications. It offers industry-leading maintenance intervals and overhaul cycles, ensuring reduced downtime and optimized lifecycle costs for customers.

Also Electrification and H2 ICEs
Hyundai Engine will also showcase its electrified battery packs, designed with optimized structural layouts to maximize energy density. The battery packs support long operating hours and feature thermal runaway prevention designs, enhancing safety. These solutions are applicable across a wide range of electrification scenarios, including construction equipment and other industrial applications.
The company’s hydrogen engine technology will also be highlighted at the exhibition, including the 11-liter and 22-liter hydrogen internal combustion engines, and the 22-liter model standing as the world’s largest hydrogen engine.
The 22-liter hydrogen engine features a V-type 12 configuration, delivering a maximum output of 600 kW (816 hp) and a continuous output of 477 kW (649 hp). Hydrogen engines emit no CO2 during operation while delivering high output, making them particularly suitable for large construction equipment and off-road machinery requiring long operating hours.
Lim Hyung-taek, Head of the Engine Division at HD Hyundai Construction Equipment mentioned, “We plan to continue expanding our engine lineup in phase through this exhibition. By continuously advancing our technologies and strengthening product competitiveness, we aim to establish HYUNDAI Engine as a trusted brand in the global market.”
