In the event of the Yuchai Cooperation Partner Conference in Yulin (China), the Liebherr’s components product segment was honoured with a “Zero Defect Quality Award”. The Yuchai Group, a renowned engine manufacturer for both on and off-road applications, grants this prize to suppliers with outstanding product quality. In 2023, it recognised the exceptional quality of Liebherr’s fuel injection systems, developed in collaboration with Yuchai

Under the motto “Joint innovation, mutual support and creating a better future”, the conference showcased Yuchai’s diverse product portfolio. Engines equipped with a Liebherr common rail system were also on display, including the 16VTD engine for marine and power generation, as well as the 12VTD engine for use in construction and industrial applications.

Today, Liebherr equips several engine platforms by Yuchai with fuel injection systems, including in-line and V-engines of various sizes – from 6-cylinder to impressive 20-cylinder ones with the displacements ranging between 3.25 l/cyl and 6.6 l/cyl. These engines operate in genset and marine applications. In the pursuit of emission reduction, the two companies set forth their successful collaboration in alternative powertrain solutions, yielding significant advancements in hydrogen combustion engines. The quality of Liebherr injection solutions finds particular recognition through the award by the Yuchai Group.
