A brief report from Yuchai stand at Agritechnica
At the Yuchai stand at Agritechnica we found a complete repertoire of internal combustion engines from 19 kW to 500 kW and the IE Power hybrid solution, which electrifies the CVT
What did we see at the Yuchai stand in Hannover, something we anticipated after the opening day, reserved for the press? Here is an excerpt from the article you will find in the January – February 2026 issue of POWERTRAIN International.
At the Yuchai stand with the Senior Vice President
Yuchai has finally decided to debut in force into the European market for industrial mobile applications. The landing in Germany, where its headquarters are located, dates back to the last decade; the absolute debut at a major continental fair coincides with the first day of Agritechnica, Sunday, November 9, 2025. The first stand we look into is precisely Yuchai ‘s, where we are welcomed by Tan Guirong, Senior Vice President. As it were, an exceptional host to talk about a company, Yuchai, that has a significant global footprint, with over 90,000 units sold last year, projected to reach 120,000 this year.
“Our engines are sold in over 180 countries and regions, with more than 800,000 units in operation outside China,” emphasizes Tan Guirong to clearly state Yuchai’s global projection. “In fact, we are here, at Agritechnica, to support existing customers and attract new European OEMs. A key shift is from merely supplying engines for domestic OEMs’ exported vehicles to directly exporting engines to overseas OEMs.”
While construction machinery currently dominates Yuchai’s European sales, agricultural applications are experiencing double-digit annual growth and are now a primary target market. It is for this reason that the Chinese giant decided to move onto the Hannover scene. In this context, Yuchai can showcase the best-selling power range between 55.8 kW and 130 kW, though Yuchai offers a broad range from 19 kW to 2,500 kW.
And what about hybridization?

Yuchai offers a comprehensive hybrid solution for agricultural machinery, dubbed the electronic driven CVT Power System or IE Power. Find out more on the next issue of POWERTRAIN International.
