Perkins at Seawork. A couple of perfect native English speakers
Perkins marine will unveil a concept design from the next generation propulsion range, the Perkins M245C, at Seawork International 2025

Perkins has some engines on the launch ramp that will not go unnoticed at the 2025 edition of Seawork. The show for the British commercial marine industry par excellence, to be held in Southampton, is now on the starting blocks: it will take place on 10, 11 and 12 June.
At Seawork you’ll see the new Perkins M245C
Last year operators and visitors at Seawork had witnessed Perkins’ display of the E44 and E70B electronically controlled engines. In a few days, the M245C will be in the public domain. It’s a 6-cylinder 249 HP Diesel engine, one of the three marine propulsion models currently in development. This lineup will also include the M175C and M200C models—each engineered to power both commercial and leisure applications. The new models are also designed for versatility with features that enable ease of repower and flexible options for new builds. The new propulsion platform is currently undergoing design and validation at Perkins marine headquarters in Wimborne, UK, a site with a proud legacy of marine engine manufacturing dating back to the 1960s. Plans are also underway for field testing aboard commercial workboats, ensuring real world performance and durability, offering the trusted reliability that defines the Perkins brand.
In addition to performance and durability, the new propulsion range will meet modern emissions standards, offering customers a future-proof solution that supports long-term investment and compliance with evolving emission standards.
