The 65th edition of the Salone Nautico
At the 65th Edition of the Genoa Boat Show, Cummins unveiled the QSZ13, Seatek previewed its 10.3-liter engine, RAMA showcased RIM Drive electric systems, SAIM presented its new IoT technology, AS Labruna featured Voltab, and VM Motori is back (also at the Ghisellini and the Lorenzoni stands)

The sun is shining on the opening day of the 65th Edition of the Genoa International Boat Show. The sports arena is practically finished, work on the marina is progressing rapidly, and the exhibition layout has returned to the splendor of the past.
Cummins makes a big splash
The vibrancy and renewed credibility of an exhibition are, of course, also measured by its range of premieres. And this is where Cummins takes center stage. From a collaboration with a Chinese manufacturer, the QSZ13 has taken shape—a 13-liter inline six-cylinder engine with a bore x stroke of 130×163 mm.
Equipped with an HPCR common rail system and a wastegate turbocharger, it sits at the top of the high-speed propulsion range for the leisure marine sector.
The engine is already available on the market in three power ratings: 600 horsepower at 1,900 rpm and 700 and 800 horsepower at 2,300 rpm. We will soon delve deeper into this topic with the “fathers” of this engine project, Ronald Ponsin and Stefano Unali.
Seatek’s Grit
After a long absence, Seatek has reappeared. Known worldwide for racing, the company has decided to re-enter the leisure marine market. We spoke with CEO Gianfranco Zanoni and will provide a full report on the interview soon.

This will be our opportunity to tell you about the new family of 10.3-liter common rail 6-cylinder engines, with a bore x stroke of 127×135 mm, which are capable of delivering 700, 800, and 900 horsepower. We will also cover the 725 Hybrid, which pairs a 125-kilowatt electric motor with LFP chemistry batteries.
And Much More at the 65th edition of the Genoa Boat Show
RAMA Marine unveiled new additions to its family: Alba marine generators powered by Kubota, RIM Drive Technology’s shaftless electric propulsion systems, and Acel electric outboards.
SAIM Marine, for its part, showcased the Zipwake PRO series, which quickly and continuously adjusts hull trim to maintain a set pitch angle, as well as SAIM IoT, an advanced monitoring system for onboard Rehlko systems.
Socoges highlighted the robust performance of HD Hyundai Infracore’s DX22, an engine that fills a power void left by some manufacturers by delivering 1,000 horsepower at 1,800 rpm. For commercial applications, it remains an optimal technical choice.
The e-Vision division of AS Labruna shined a spotlight on VOLTAB, the 100% electric portable generator developed by Reefilla. It is designed to provide clean, off-grid power and enable fast charging on the go.

VM Motori went all out. After a long absence, the company had a triple presence at the show. In addition to its own stand, where it displayed the MR506XR and MR504LX3, VM also appeared at the Lorenzoni and Ghisellini booths, the latter of which also celebrated its partnership with Bosch Rexroth.
