The partnership between Cummins and John Deere has recently achieved Partner-level performance classification in John Deere’s Achieving Excellence Program. Two major brands, in other words, which are getting closer relying on mutual appreciation.

What’s the Achieving Excellence Program, by the way? According to the official statement, it «focuses on building strong relationships with suppliers who work to add value to John Deere products and services. Cummins was evaluated on its ability to perform in the areas of quality, delivery, cost management, technical support and business relationship building. Cummins achieved Partner-level classification, the highest rating, which recognizes a supplier who goes above and beyond John Deere’s performance standards, reaches world-class levels and has a measurable effect on John Deere’s level of customer satisfaction».

Cummins and John Deereshare a long history

With a business relationship spanning more than 30 years, Cummins supplies its X15 engines for the top two ratings in John Deere’s 9R, 9RX and 9RT Series tractors. Engines are manufactured at Cummins’ largest heavy-duty diesel production facility, Jamestown Engine Plant (JEP), New York.

Cummins representatives Jim Branner, Account Executive and Shawn Hricko, JEP Operations Director accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies in Davenport, Iowa.
