Cummins to complete the acquisition of Cummins France

Cummins NV and SAS Cumfin have closed an agreement under which Cummins has acquired 100% of the shares of Cummins France SA. The acquisition of Cummins France S.A. includes the interests held in their subsidiary Cummins Energie Algerie in Algeria. Ann-Kristin deVerdier, Executive Managing Director for Cummins’ Europe Distribution Business expressed her enthusiasm about the agreement, stating, “We are very excited about the acquisition of Cummins France. It provides continuity and secures the long-term future of the local business whilst strengthening our presence in Europe through one Cummins organisation. It supports our position as a global power leader, ensures strategic alignment and allows us to take advantage of growth opportunities across the region. We continue to drive excellence, innovation and lead the industry towards a sustainable future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rainer for his dedication over a long time in building Cummins France into the strong organisation it is today, with customer satisfaction at the heart of its business. We remain dedicated to delivering unparalleled customer service and will ensure continuity of excellent support for clients throughout France and Algeria, and across Europe.”

The transaction was closed on 31st October 2023 by Cummins Vice-President Off Highway, Engine Business & Europe ABO Leader, Antonio Leitao, and by Cumfin Owner and CEO, Rainer Wissmanns, who has led the Cummins France organisation for many years, since it was founded in 1996. During this time, the Cummins organisation in the Hexagon has grown from a small local distributor of the globalorganisation, to become a thriving company supporting customers across the country, establishing offices in Lyon and Nantes, building a strong dealer network, together with its subsidiary business in Algeria.
