Delta-Q Technologies announced the opening of its new global headquarters in Burnaby, British Columbia (Canada). Following an exceptional year, with record sales reaching US $100 million in 2022, Delta-Q continues to expand its operations, increasing headcount by over 10% in 2023 compared to the same period last year.

We have experienced strong growth in recent years, as evidenced by record-breaking sales in 2022. Establishing our new global headquarters will enable us to sustain this momentum,” said Steve Blaine, Co-CEO and Executive Vice President of Engineering and Quality. “The new space is configured to provide an optimal work environment conducive to collaboration, innovation and engineering design that provides the foundation for scaling a growing tech company.”

Delta-Q and its landlord, Kingswood Capital, invested in numerous energy-saving features throughout its new facility to reinforce its commitment to sustainability and employee well-being. The design of the 30,000 sq. ft. space reduces energy consumption and uses electric heat pumps for HVAC instead of gas. It is also fully outfitted with efficient LED lighting, smart building controls and more efficient building insulation. In line with the company’s mission to electrify the future, Delta-Q expanded the number of parking spaces designated for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to support the employee base who choose electric vehicles for their daily commute.

The new facility includes specific investments to support Delta-Q’s ability to scale product innovation. These updates include a larger battery lab and higher power capacity to accommodate the development and testing of more advanced chargers. The new labs also feature unique bidirectional testing equipment that promotes more efficient energy management by enabling the capture and re-use of electricity that would otherwise go to waste.

We are immensely proud of Delta-Q’s ongoing growth, which is a remarkable milestone for the ZAPI GROUP and the BC economy. The company’s achievements are a testament to the dedication and ingenuity of the Delta-Q team,” said Claes Avasjö, Executive Director of ZAPI Group. “We look forward to witnessing further advancements, as Delta-Q demonstrates that growth and sustainability are not mutually exclusive targets in the clean technology space.
