Himoinsa has recently appointed Manuel Aguilera as Global Service Director. Mr. Aguilera will take up his new position on the 1st of June with a brief to strengthen the Service, Spare Parts and After Sales divisions as key elements in the company’s expansion plans following the recent significant growth it has experienced in terms of organisational structure, turnover and new product development.

In 2023, the Himoinsa’s turnover increased by 21.3% compared 2022, which in turn was 55% higher than that of the previous year. This growth in sales means that the company must constantly improve its service structure to ensure that it can respond immediately and provide fast and efficient customer service in all the markets in which it operates.

Aguilera, who has previously held positions of responsibility within the company such as Global Gas Unit Head, has almost 15 years’ experience in the power generation sector, working in areas such as engineering, product development, project monitoring to commissioning, and customer support. “This has allowed him to gain a complete 360º view not only of our organisational structure, but also of the real needs of our clients”, says Francisco Gracia, President and CEO of Himoinsa, who is convinced that his integration into the Global Service Division will create potential for growth.

In his new role, Aguilera will be in charge of service operations, focusing on process optimisation, the implementation of innovative technologies, training plans, the restructuring and coordination of the technical team, spare parts and their pricing policy, in a global and transversal way in all the company’s business units: Mobile Power, On Site Power, Telecom and Power Solutions.

Aguilera will also be tasked with driving the growth plans of the service, maintenance and installation companies that Himoinsa has acquired in recent years in several countries, such as Powersil in Portugal, to ensure continued organic and inorganic growth in countries where the company has a significant market share and needs to guarantee solid service structures for its clients.

“It is an honour to be entrusted with the global leadership of such an important division as Service, whose mission is to provide comprehensive support to ensure customer satisfaction. We will work in a coordinated way with the entire Himoinsa team, including all our subsidiaries and production centres, to align our growth strategy and all the available resources”, says Aguilera, Himoinsa’s new Global Service Director, who adds that the Gas Division, where he has been working until now, will continue to be managed by a professional team of experts who will be able to call on his support and advice whenever they need it during this transition process.
