MAN Engines is reorganizing its sales and after-sales network in (South) Korea. Since the beginning of 2024, a separate department of the local MAN Truck & Bus representative for the MAN Engines business unit has been responsible for the sales and service of MAN engines on site. MAN Truck & Bus has been represented in the Republic of Korea – headquartered in Seoul – since 2001 and currently has 33 sales and service stations for the Group’s own trucks and buses. As a result of the reorganization, engines for workboats as well as diesel and gas engines for generator sets will now also be sold, repaired and supplied with spare parts.

By integrating the MAN Engines division into the commercial vehicle organization, existing and new business partners benefit from extensive know-how about products and processes as well as a strong network. “I am pleased that we have been able to create synergies that will enable us to support our customers even better. This is the case, for example, in the supply of spare parts or in service matters,” says Reiner Roessner, Head of Sales at MAN Engines.

Euijoong Kim, Head of Sales External Engines, emphasizes: “With the sale of MAN engines through the national subsidiary MAN Truck & Bus Korea, we are strengthening our influence in the domestic market and meeting the increasing demand for high-quality engines. In addition, companies in the Korean market will benefit from MAN’s technological expertise.”

Initially, MAN Truck & Bus Korea will focus on applications in the field of emergency power and continuous power generation, such as those used in hotel facilities, hospitals and data centers. To this end, MAN Engines offers genset manufacturers who focus on high-quality and reliable products, sophisticated diesel engines and specially designed gas engines. In addition, due to the growth of the maritime leisure industry, MAN Truck & Bus Korea sees an increasing demand for service for MAN Engines yacht engines in the power range of 200 to 2,200 hp (147-1,618 kW).

As a strong partner to the marine industry, MAN Engines offers operators of yachts and workboats good access to over 500 service partners in all major ports and hot spots around the world. MAN engines for power generation are reliable energy suppliers worldwide for peak load, emergency power and basic supply.
