FPT, Teksan Generator, and the G-Drive

FPT Industrial and Teksan Generator just signed a partnership agreement. The issue of the long-term supply agreement for the entire G-Drive range of FPT Industrial. Teksan has chosen FPT Industrial in reason of its expertize and knowledge in this field. Thanks to this, Teksan has been able to develop proven and efficient products which can provide high performance without influencing operating costs.

FPT Industrial will give provide Teksan with both G-Drive unregulated and Stage II and Stage IIIA/Tier 3 regulations compliant engines. This way, Teksan will be able to meet any need of its customers. The G-Drive line covers a power range from 30 kVA to 600 kVA, and it features seven different models. These are the S8000, F32, N45, N67, Cursor 9, Cursor 13 and Cursor 16. Displacements, instead, go from 2.9 to 15.9 liters.

NEF models

Two of them, the N45 and the N67, are NEF family models. The first one has 5 power options and a displacement of 4.5 liters. Instead, the power range of the N67 goes from 130 kVA to 250 kVA. The 250 kVA version features the best load acceptance and fuel consumption in the G-Drive block category. As for the Cursor, the displacement varies from 8.7 to 16 liters, with power ranging between 300 kVA and 600 kVA.

Cursor 9, 13, and 16

The Cursor family also has the best features in its class. The Cursor 9 300 kVA, in fact, displays the best-in-class oil maintenance intervals (up to 600 hours) and width (2% less than the competition average). But on the other hand, the 600 kVA Cursor 16 is the best in its class for fuel consumption, maintenance intervals, and noise reduction. Moreover, it is also the most compact G-Drive on the market.

THE SKILLS OF THE CURSOR 16

More fuel savings and reduced maintenance intervals

All the products, says FPT, included in the agreement – the unregulated, Stage II and Stage IIIA/Tier 3 – feature great advantages if compared to the same ranges of other premium brands. First of all, the fuel savings of the engines are respectively up to 5% in non-regulated models and between 2% and 16% % of the regulated ones. Moreover, maintenance intervals respectively range up to 300 and 100 hours, which is more than the market average. An additional feature of the FPT Industrial G-Drive engines consists in the possibility to switch from 1500 to 1800 rpm (50Hz or 60Hz), according to the needs of the customers.

FPT Industrial: let’s go, XC13

The XC13 surely sounds agnostic in FPT Industrial’s unofficial nomenclature; it comes, indeed, with a tripartite certification: Euro 6E (winking an eye at the upcoming Euro 7), methane gas and also biofuel, with a link to hydrogen.
