Himoinsa has made its mark in Australia with three HTW-2030 T5 units, supplied to Woolworths, the largest supermarket chain on the continent. The mission of this supply is to ensure backup power for its distribution center in Sydney.

Energy for a fresh food distribution center in Sidney

The units were installed at a fresh food distribution center in Sydney, a central component of Woolworths’ NSW supply chain modernization.

The objective of the supply is to ensure a constant backup power supply for the center’s critical operations, including refrigeration, automation, and security systems. This power continuity is essential for preventing inventory spoilage, delivery delays, and equipment damage in the event of an outage.

The gensets were customized for the application, featuring Mitsubishi engines with governors for precise speed management under variable loads. The alternators are equipped with anti-condensation heaters, a crucial feature for Sydney’s humid subtropical climate. The units also include a soundproofing system that limits noise emissions to a maximum of 75 dB(A) at 1 meter.

The success of this project has resulted in a repeat order from Woolworths for an additional four HTW-2295 T5 medium voltage gensets, which will provide a total of 8 MW of emergency power. The partnership with Himoinsa Australia encompasses a complete solution, from project design and installation to after-sales maintenance.
