HIMOINSA and a Good Match With Yanmar
HIMOINSA stengthens its HT Range with Yanmar diesel and gas solutions for telecommunications infrastructure and achieved Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the HGY Series generators
Following the launch of the HT Telecom Power range, developed specifically for telecommunications base stations, HIMOINSA continues to evolve its diesel and gas solutions with new developments aimed at reducing on-site intervention, enhancing safety and facilitating the remote operation and management of the equipment. The new telecommunications generator sets are based on the efficiency, robustness and autonomy of the HT range, incorporating new protection, connectivity and installation features tailored to telecommunications networks in remote locations.
The Himoinsa Engine Partner Is Still Yanmar
The diesel solutions, with power ratings ranging from 8.3 to 42 kVA at 50 Hz and from 10 to 51 kVA at 60 Hz, feature Yanmar engines. With service intervals of up to 1,000 hours and fuel tank capacities of up to 1,000 litres, these generator sets help reduce the need for technical service call-outs, whilst optimising refuelling requirements and operating costs.
In addition to these features, there is a new fuel protection kit, designed to prevent unauthorised removal of fuel through secure access to the tank, a curved fuel pipe and an internal grille. This solution complements the anti-theft pack in the Telecom range, which is particularly important at sites without a permanent staff presence.
Gas-Fuelled Solutions
The gas-fuelled solutions, available in 25 kVA at 50 Hz and 30 kVA at 60 Hz, focus particularly on reducing maintenance requirements and enhancing operational safety – two key factors in remote telecommunications sites or those without a permanent staff presence.
With a service life of up to 30,000 hours, these configurations offer maintenance intervals of 4,000 hours in the standard version and up to 8,600 hours as an option, significantly reducing the number of service calls and site visits required over the equipment’s service life.
Safety is one of the main pillars of development for gas-fuelled solutions. The system incorporates a multi-layered protection architecture from the fuel inlet through to combustion, featuring a certified gas train, safety valves, pressure regulation and control, and a safe start-up and shut-down sequence.
The units can operate on LPG or natural gas, providing flexibility depending on the available infrastructure and avoiding the risks associated with the storage and theft of liquid fuel.
Anti-Theft and Connectivity
Both diesel and gas configurations feature an anti-theft pack designed to restrict unauthorised access and protect the unit’s critical components. In addition, models up to 63 A include an integrated ATS and a system of protected electrical connections that simplifies installation and commissioning.
4G and LAN connectivity, together with C4CLOUD Fleet Manager, enables remote monitoring and management of the generator sets, allowing users to view alarms, historical data and operating parameters, as well as facilitating integration with other monitoring systems via protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, TCP/IP and PROFIBUS.
Environmental Product Declaration

HIMOINSA has obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the HGY Series generators, following a life cycle assessment of the product. This milestone provides quantified, structured environmental information based on internationally recognised criteria.
An EPD is a Type III environmental declaration, in accordance with ISO 14025, which transparently communicates a product’s environmental performance throughout its life cycle. It is based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and presents quantified indicators under defined calculation rules, providing objective data on the product’s impact.
The EPD document is now available and provides detailed information on the generator’s environmental impact across all life cycle stages, from component manufacturing, inbound transport, assembly, testing, distribution, the use phase, and final disposal. It also incorporates specific operating scenarios, such as 4,000 hours per year over 15 years, parameters specific to the generator set.
Key Points
- EPD for the HGY Series
HIMOINSA has obtained an Environmental Product Declaration for its HGY Series, based on a Life Cycle Assessment and providing quantified environmental data across the generator set’s entire life cycle. - From components to end of life
The assessment covers the engine, alternator, radiator and battery, as well as supplier transport, manufacturing waste, maintenance scenarios and end-of-life treatment of materials such as steel, copper, aluminium and plastics. - HT Telecom: diesel and gas
HIMOINSA is expanding its HT Telecom range with diesel generator sets from 8.3 to 42 kVA at 50 Hz and 10 to 51 kVA at 60 Hz, alongside 25 kVA gas units at 50 Hz and 30 kVA at 60 Hz. - Less intervention, more remote management
The new telecom solutions target remote sites, combining extended maintenance intervals, fuel protection, anti-theft systems, integrated ATS on models up to 63 A, and 4G/LAN connectivity through C4CLOUD Fleet Manager. - HIMOINSA and Yanmar: an integrated approach
The two companies coordinate engineering and development, combining HIMOINSA’s power-generation expertise with Yanmar’s engine know-how. The relationship also extends to service, spare parts, R&D&I resources and production capacity. HIMOINSA has been part of the Yanmar Group since 2015.
What does the EPD for the HGY Series add to HIMOINSA’s approach to sustainability?
The EPD provides quantified and structured information on the environmental performance of the HGY Series throughout its life cycle. It allows environmental criteria to be incorporated into the technical documentation and gives customers and engineering firms measurable data to consider alongside reliability and performance, particularly in high-power projects.
What are the main features of the new HT Telecom solutions?
The new range combines diesel and gas generator sets designed specifically for telecommunications infrastructure. The focus is on reducing operating and maintenance requirements, increasing autonomy and safety, and limiting the need for on-site intervention, particularly at remote locations or sites without permanent personnel.
How does connectivity contribute to the HT Telecom concept?
The generator sets can be equipped with 4G and LAN connectivity and C4CLOUD Fleet Manager, enabling remote monitoring and management. Users can access alarms, historical data and operating parameters, while the systems can also be integrated with other monitoring platforms through protocols including Modbus, SNMP, TCP/IP and PROFIBUS.
