HD Hyundai Infracore has announced the official launch of its DX15 generator engine. The Korean company is still in charge as a ruler of the Diesel of the year 2025. The DX15 is the fifth model in the company’s latest electronic generator engine line-up, the DX Series.

Electronic control for the Hyundai DX15

Built on a 15.1-litre V-type 8-cylinder configuration, the DX15 delivers an impressive 457–662 kWm of output and meets EPA Tier 2 and Tier 3 emission regulations, making it suitable for a wide range of global markets.

Compared to mechanical engines of the same class, output has increased by 16%. The engine features high-efficiency combustion technology and an electronically controlled fuel injection system, further enhancing performance.

Despite its compact design, the DX15 delivers high power density and exceptional performance. Electronic control ensures improved speed stability and reliability, while its robust design enables consistent output even under extended operation.

The engine is also compatible with eco-friendly fuels such as HVO and GTL, and can operate for up to 500 hours without oil refills, reducing maintenance intervals and costs.

And the marine one

Earlier in March, HD Hyundai Infracore successfully launched the marine version of the DX15, based on the same platform. This engine delivers 551–870 HP (405-640 kW) and complies with IMO Tier 2, Tier 3 and EPA Tier 3 emission regulations, further proving the company’s technological competitiveness in the marine market.
