To celebrate its 160th birthday, Lister Petter has introduced the Jupiter series, named after the supreme deity of Greek and Roman mythology. Founded in 1865 in Yeovil, in the south-east of England, the company was named after founders Ernest and Percy Petter. In 2021, they enhanced their power range to 800 kW, and the following year saw the introduction of their hybrid models. This year, they’re launching the Jupiter series.

Jupiter Series offers to the market a Natural Gas Lister Petter alternative

Lister Petter has expanded its fixed-speed power generation engine range to include Natural Gas units. The all-new Jupiter series offers seven Natural Gas units, available at 1500 rpm or 1800 rpm, to meet the needs of the European, American, and emerging markets.

Electronics are a key feature: The new range boasts an advanced ECU-controlled fuel system with electronic EFR (Exhaust Flow Recirculation) and AFR (Air-Fuel Ratio) to accurately deliver fuel mixtures, ensuring optimal fuel economy. The engine’s core components are designed to reduce noise and improve cooling, leading to higher thermal efficiency and smaller cooling packages. The system uses a water-cooled turbocharger for induction, which provides consistent and controllable airflow to the cylinder head. This six-cylinder in-line engine (Bore x Stroke: 110×135 mm) is turbocharged and offers a generous power output range of 22 to 500 kilowatts.
