Fortescue is significantly expanding its battery and electric powertrain production operations in the UK with the announcement of an additional WAE state-of-the-art facility in Oxfordshire. The new facility will be focused on production for the off-road sector including trucks and trains.

Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE) is being re-branded as WAE Technologies Limited. This follows the acquisition of the world-leading technology and engineering services business by Fortescue which completed in March 2022, taking the Oxfordshire-based company into a new direction.
