Among the wide-ranging portfolio of solutions that HYDAC will be showcasing at EIMA, we will focus on a couple of key areas. Let’s start with the inevitable tribute to electrification, in a field as traditionally mechanics-oriented as agriculture.

Electrification Rhymes with Integration

Like other players in the off-highway sector, HYDAC is positioning itself as a solutions integrator. In its own words, the company acts both as a manufacturer of strategic components and as a system integrator, supporting OEMs throughout the entire electrification process: from selecting the most suitable hybrid and/or electric system to sizing the powertrain and/or improving the efficiency of individual hydraulic functions.

Building on its expertise in thermal management, HYDAC completes its offering with the design and implementation of optimised thermal management solutions for all the vehicle’s main critical components. These include both passive and active thermal management strategies, as well as heat recovery.

Integrated solutions combining hydraulic system efficiency, electric motors, inverters, batteries, thermal management, control ECUs and software are also available as standard, plug-and-play kits whenever project timelines and costs do not justify a customised approach. Examples include eKit 800, developed to convert vehicles and equipment to zero-emission operation, and Supply on Demand systems such as EcoPack and EcoSwitch, which optimise energy flows and reduce the consumption of subsystems or individual hydraulic functions.

Rounding off the portfolio is Zeus, a plug-and-play electric generator that can be installed either on the tractor or on the implement, designed to increase the electrical power available across the entire machine system.

All About Electronic Control

The HYDAC TTControl range supports OEMs across the entire spectrum, from machine function control and connectivity to software development and validation tools.

For machine function control, HYDAC offers the TTC 2000 family of multicore ECUs, developed to meet requirements for computing power, cybersecurity and functional safety. The units are designed in line with the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act and the new European Machinery Regulation. In the specific context of agricultural machinery, these ECUs can serve as TECUs (Tractor ECUs) or IECUs (Implement ECUs), thanks to their compliance with ISOBUS standards.

For advanced functions such as assisted driving, automation, sensor fusion and AI, HYDAC offers the TTC Fusion computing platform, while TTConnect PRO solutions provide support for telematics, fleet management, predictive maintenance and over-the-air (OTA) updates.

At system integration level, Top View is a plug-and-play solution designed to assist operators in the cab by providing a real-time panoramic view of the area surrounding the machine. Images captured by HVT cameras are processed by the TTC Fusion computing platform to generate an integrated 360-degree view. TTC Fusion then processes the resulting graphics stream and sends it to the slave monitors in the TTC VisionX range. These communicate via an FPD-Link interface and are available in screen sizes from 8 to 12 inches.

Another application example is the People Detection System, a solution designed to enhance operational safety by detecting the presence of people within the machine’s working area.

The intelligent functions of the HVS Smart camera allow it to identify and flag potential risk situations, while TTC Vision3 series HMI units, available in screen sizes from 4 to 12 inches, provide a clear and immediate display of warnings and images received from the system.
