At the recently concluded Agritechnica 2025, Carraro secured a full house of certainties, even before making promises. If, in fact, the exhibition of products on display or under glass is to be considered a springboard toward the future, the agreements with Claas and Seederal can be counted as bridges—solid and certified. Of course, two different kind of bridges.

SEEDERAL e-Tractor

Let’s start with the strategic partnership with Seederal, a French industrial startup specializing in high-performance fully electric tractors. At the heart of this partnership is the development of a complete driveline, including THE technology – one of the latest generation transmissions – proving the flexibility of Carraro solutions covering electrical and hydraulic applications with highly standardized products and the IFU axle, a new-generation front axle with independent suspension – called Independent Front Unit – designed and engineered by Carraro specifically for Seederal’s upcoming electric tractor platform.

Thanks (to) IFU

The IFU axle, showcased at Carraro’s booth at Agritechnica, was developed by Carraro for Seederal and leverages Carraro’s decades of expertise in driveline systems and vehicle layout innovation. This tailor-made solution ensures:

  • dynamic stability and terrain adaptability, thanks to independent wheel movement;
  • superior operator comfort, achieved through reduced vibration.

Seederal’s electric tractor project is backed by €7.1 million in funding from venture capital firms such as Supernova Invest and Ankaa Ventures, along with €3.7 million from the France 2030 initiative. These resources will fuel R&D expansion and team growth, with the goal of delivering a high-performance tractor featuring an innovative chassis-battery system and a power output of 160 HP.

And now, let’s move to Claas

Not just electric, quite the opposite! Carraro’s presence at Agritechnica 2025 was also marked by the agreement with Claas. Designed by Carraro and developed as key feature of the new NEXOS 2 CMATIC tractor model in a joint program by Carraro Agritalia and Claas, the Carraro CVT transmission represents a new boost in CVT technology for compact and specialized tractors.

CLAAS NEXOS 2 CMATIC

The Nexos 2 CMATIC was officially presented during a dedicated media event on November 8th, drawing attention for its blend of innovation and practicality. The partnership between CLAAS and Carraro reflects a shared vision for high-performance solutions.
