LiuGong is Ready to Amaze SamoTer Visitors

The Chinese company took the lead with its electric lineup, launched ten years ago, and guarantees an average runtime of 10-11 hours with LFP batteries. To cite an example, the 870 HE wheel loader has a stated average consumption of 40 kWh, which amounts to roughly €8 per hour, compared to the equivalent 4.5 m³ diesel version equipped with a 9-liter Cummins engine, which consumes 18 liters per hour. LiuGong is currently developing its own in-house batteries.

At SaMoTer 2026, LiuGong will showcase…

• Excavator 909FCR – designed for urban construction and rental, combining compact radius, advanced hydraulics and strong breakout force with the stability required for attachment-led applications.
• Wheel Loader 820T HST – LiuGong’s first diesel compact wheel loader, developed for landscaping and municipal applications, featuring a two-speed hydrostatic transmission with cruise control for smooth and efficient operation.
• Wheel Loader 890T Block Handler – purpose-built for the demanding quarrying sector, capable of handling blocks of up to 26 tonnes with reinforced structures, upgraded hydraulics and heavy-duty axles.

LiuGong will also highlight the expansion of its road machinery offering, including:

• Single-drum Roller 6608F – delivering effective compaction with a larger drum diameter and consistent amplitude
• Tandem-drum Roller 6027F – featuring high- and low-frequency vibration for consistent compaction quality
• Skidsteer 378C – compact, powerful, and built for versatility, the LiuGong 378C delivers strong lifting performance, precise control, and fast attachment adaptability to handle a wide range of job site demands with ease.

The display will feature a comprehensive lineup including the 925FCR, 9027FZTS, 9057FZTS, 923FN and 956F HD excavators, alongside the TD25M dozer and 4215D motor grader, covering applications from urban construction and utilities to quarrying, mining and bulk earthmoving. A forklift display will also showcase LiuGong’s latest-generation material handling solutions, featuring modern design, enhanced operator comfort, and intuitive controls to maximise productivity across industrial applications.

LiuGong will also present its growing battery-electric portfolio, demonstrating its continued focus on practical and cost-effective electrification.

Featured machines include:

• Wheel Loader 870HE – designed for high-demand applications, equipped with a 423-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, delivering zero emissions, low noise and up to nine hours of runtime, supported by intelligent energy management and fast charging capability.
• Wheel Loader 838TE – designed for small to medium-scale and confined job sites, combining flexibility and efficiency with a 193-kWh battery, enhanced operator comfort and zero-emission operation with up to 6–8 hours of runtime.
