Tümosan Tractors are Powered by Captive Engines and Carraro Transmissions
Tümosan's new tractors have chosen an autarkic approach to propulsion, featuring a 3.9-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine and the support of an Italian transmission, the Carraro T-100 Evo HD
With the 81 Evo series, the Turkish manufacturer Tümosan makes its debut among the finalists for Tractor of the Year 2027 in the Utility category, showcasing a completely overhauled design that aims to combine manufacturing simplicity, comfort, efficiency, and readiness for future digital farming technologies. More than a mere update, the 81 Evo represents the stepping stone of a new design philosophy destined to define the brand’s next generation of tractors, starting with the Stage V engines.
Single Cylinder Displacement of 0.97L
The nominated model is the 81.110 Evo, equipped with a 3.9-liter four-cylinder Stage V-compliant turbodiesel engine, developed in-house by the Turkish manufacturer. This powertrain delivers 105 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm, available between 1,500 and 1,600 rpm. The project’s philosophy focuses on low rpm—meaning achieving maximum productivity while keeping engine speeds low—with claimed benefits in fuel consumption, noise levels, and operating comfort. In fact, the tractor reaches 40 km/h at approximately 1,800 rpm, while the maintenance interval extends up to 500 hours after the first service.
The transmission is ‘Made in Italy,’ featuring the mechanical Carraro T-100 Evo HD with Power Shuttle and Power Hi-Lo, providing 30 forward and 15 reverse gears. Consequently, the gearbox enables hydraulic power shuttling and two powershift speeds under load, offering speeds ranging from 0.57 to 40 km/h, with a creeper gear available upon request.
Some Other Tümosan Features
The open-center hydraulic system is also well-proportioned for the category, featuring a 48 l/min pump alongside a dedicated 23.6 l/min steering pump, three mechanical rear spool valves, and an electronic hitch with a maximum lift capacity of 3,387 kg at the link ends. The electro-hydraulically engaged PTO comes standard with 540 and 540E modes, with a 1,000 rpm option available.

While maintaining a traditional layout, the 81 Evo is designed from the outset for precision farming. Indeed, the CAN bus electronic architecture, featuring seven dedicated control units, makes the tractor compatible with automatic steering systems, ISOBUS technology, telemetry, and future remote diagnostic services, which are also developed in collaboration with partners like Topcon and Trimble.
