Tractor of the Year 2027 Takes Off from Naples
Tractor of the Year 2027 Takes Off from Naples: 23 Tractors, 18 Brands and a Year-Long Journey towards EIMA International
The road to Tractor of the Year 2027 officially began in Naples with Let the Challenge Begin, the annual event that brings together manufacturers, jury members, partners and industry stakeholders to launch a new edition of the most prestigious award in agricultural mechanization.
Over the course of the event, 23 tractors from the world’s leading manufacturers were presented to the international jury, composed of 26 independent journalists representing the most influential agricultural media outlets across Europe. More than a simple product showcase, Let the Challenge Begin marked the starting point of a structured evaluation process that will culminate in November 2026 at EIMA International, where the winners of the Tractor of the Year 2027 awards will be announced.
Toty: The Place to Be for the AG Industry
Today, Tractor of the Year has evolved far beyond the traditional concept of an industry award. It has become an international platform where product innovation, technical evaluation, communication and market positioning converge.
In an agricultural environment increasingly focused on productivity, sustainability and operational efficiency, the value of a tractor is no longer measured solely by technical specifications. Reliability, accessibility, ease of use and scalability have become decisive factors in determining a machine’s relevance in the field. Tractor of the Year reflects this evolution through a comprehensive evaluation approach supported by a unique communication ecosystem.
The award benefits from a unique international media network powered by its 26-member jury. During the latest edition, more than 100 articles were published by specialized agricultural journalists worldwide, while the official Tractor of the Year social media channels generated over 2.4 million views. Together, these activities created continuous visibility for participating manufacturers and positioned Tractor of the Year as one of the most influential communication platforms in the global agricultural machinery industry.
This media exposure is complemented by a growing programme of physical events. The official award ceremony held during Agritechnica attracted more than 250 representatives from manufacturers, institutions and industry organizations, while the TotY Arena at EIMA International established itself as one of the exhibition’s most successful attractions.
For manufacturers, participation therefore represents much more than a competition. Tractor of the Year offers a unique opportunity to position products within an international narrative focused on innovation, efficiency and future farming needs. Each tractor is not only assessed by the jury but also presented, explained and contextualized within the broader transformation of agricultural mechanization.
The 2027 edition features six categories designed to represent the diversity and technological evolution of modern agriculture.
HighPower is dedicated to tractors above 300 horsepower, machines designed for the most demanding field operations. MidPower, covering the 150–280 horsepower segment, recognizes the versatility and efficiency required by a wide range of farming applications. Utility focuses on compact and efficient tractors between 70 and 150 horsepower, increasingly important for multifunctional farming operations.
Alongside these categories, Specialized rewards solutions developed for vineyards, orchards and challenging operating environments. TotYBot highlights autonomous technologies that are reshaping agricultural practices, while Sustainable TotY recognizes the most significant innovations in environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

Following the Naples kick-off event, the evaluation process will continue throughout the summer and autumn with the collection and analysis of additional technical information, field experience and operational data. Jury members will then complete their assessments before selecting the winners.
The journey will culminate in November 2026 at EIMA International, where the official Tractor of the Year 2027 ceremony will take place alongside the return of the TotY Arena, once again offering visitors the opportunity to experience finalist tractors through dedicated demonstrations and presentations.
A key role in this journey is played by BKT, Main Sponsor of Tractor of the Year, whose continuous support has helped transform the award into an international platform that promotes innovation, technological progress and dialogue across the agricultural machinery industry.
