Scania and ABB E-mobility announced the signing of a global framework agreement in the field of charging solutions. The agreement builds on a long-standing partnership between the two companies and will see ABB E-mobility support Scania with their “EV” customer offering.

The agreement enables Scania to become a full solution provider for their EV customers, offering a tailored charging solution together with electric vehicles. Scania will provide both its own network and its customers with ABB‘s DC fast charging technology and solutions, including Terra 360, one of the fastest all-in-one electric vehicle chargersABB will provide Scania with its wide range of DC charging solutions for home depot charging, destination charging and public charging – from 24 kW up to 600 kW.

Earlier this year, the two companies announced a successful first test in development of a megawatt charging system (MCS). The testing is a milestone in the development of an efficient, high power charging solution for heavy duty vehicles – a new technology that will enable half the charging time for heavy duty vehicles.
