Kioti, green light to HVO for Korean agricultural machinery
Kioti’s tractors, SSL/CTL machines, UTVs, and zero-turn mowers can therefore be powered by HVO 100, produced starting from renewable raw materials
Kioti’s European division has announced that its diesel engines have been officially approved for operation with HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel.
This is a significant development in terms of reducing pollutant emissions, allowing customers to further decrease the environmental impact of their machinery without compromising performance or reliability. Essentially, all Kioti diesel-powered products—including tractors, SSL/CTL machines, UTVs, and zero-turn mowers—can now operate seamlessly using this alternative to fossil diesel.
HVO 100 is produced from renewable raw materials and can significantly improve the overall CO2 balance compared to conventional fossil diesel. The fuel complies with the EN 15940 diesel standard and can be used directly, requiring no technical modifications to existing KIOTI engines. Furthermore, HVO fuel can be freely mixed with traditional diesel, offering flexibility in fuel management and transition strategies. Performance remains a key strength.

Thanks to the modern Common-Rail engine technology used across the manufacturer’s entire machinery range, the lower energy density of HVO is effectively compensated for in real-world applications. In conclusion, this approval confirms Kioti’s commitment to providing practical, future-oriented solutions that support more sustainable operations while maintaining the durability and performance of proven diesel technology.
