Deutz acquires Dutch company Urban Mobility Systems (UMS), involved in the field of battery-electric drives for off-highway applications

After celebrating its 160th company anniversary in 2024, the Cologne-based engine manufacturer has reached another milestone in its history with its stock market anniversary. Deutz has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 1900.

With revenue down by 12.1% to €1,813.7 million, Deutz achieved adjusted earnings (EBIT before exceptional items) of €76.7 million. This corresponds to an adjusted EBIT margin of 4.2%.

Chief Technology and Sales Officer Markus Müller is leaving Deutz to head CNH’s European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) operations. His responsibilities will be temporarily taken over by the remaining board members.

Deutz can feel the effects of the ongoing fall in demand caused by the economic headwinds but remains profitable. This can be seen from the results published today for the first three quarters of 2024.
