Deutz has reached another milestone in its portfolio realignment by completing the sale of Torqeedo to Yamaha Motor. Deutz intends to enhance its performance in the existing business with conventional engines and to expand its technology portfolio for the future.

Within a persistently challenging macroeconomic environment, Deutz stayed on course in the 2023 financial year and achieved record results for revenue EBIT. The drive manufacturer grew its revenue by 7.8 % to around €2.1 billion.

Deutz has opened a filling station for the latest generation of biofuels (HVO) at its factory site in Cologne-Porz. All diesel-powered vehicles of Deutz can now be refueled at the site with HVO. Deutz will initially purchase the fuel, which is guaranteed palm-oil free from Finnish company Neste.

Mark Christian Schneider will take charge of the Investor Relations (IR), Communications, and Marketing department from April 1. Christian Ludwig is leaving Deutz of his own accord to start a new job.

Deutz announced a further milestone in the repositioning of its portfolio as part of its Dual+ strategy: Torqeedo, the world’s leading manufacturer of outboard and inboard drives, will be sold to Yamaha Motor.

Deutz Nordic is the new name of Diesel Motor Nordic (DMN), which is wholly owned by Deutz AG since October 2, 2023.
